Amanda Litz - Author and Publisher of Children's Books

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been a stay-home mom with my three children for several years now. I have enjoyed taking care of them and having the opportunity to spend so much time with them. That being said, everyone needs a little something for themselves too, and that's where my writing comes in. This actually works out for all of us because I write children's stories, and my kids love to hear the stories as much as I love to write them.
Last year I decided that I wanted to publish my stories. I did a lot of research into traditional publishing and self-publishing, including going through a "self-publishing" company and creating my own publishing company. After months of information gathering and deliberation, I decided that I wanted to start my own publishing company to get my books out.
This has been a very exciting venture for me, with each new milestone I feel a great sense of accomplishment. My fist book, Pirate's Treasure should be out August of 2009. It is the first book in The Traveler's Trunk series about Jacob, his sister Sierra, and their cousin Brent. The kids discover an old traveler's trunk in their Great-Grandma Addy's attic. In opening the trunk they open an amazing world of possibility and adventure. I have completed the rough draft of the second book in the series and expect to have it published in August 2010.
